Ready, Set, Route! app for iPhone and iPad

Ready, Set, Route! Is a hybrid app that’s essentially a route optimiser with lots of communication tools for you and your respective school.
PARENTS / STUDENTS:
Parents will receive an invite to our service from their childs primary teacher, from which they get the option to make their child an account if desired. Once on the app, Parents/students have the ability to see the exact location of their respective school bus. Expect to receive alerts when the bus is 5 mins away from the pickup location. You will also receive notifications from your teachers regarding deadlines, school events, bus changes, school closings, and anything else that teachers see fit. You will also have to input twice daily, whether you require the bus or not. Luckily you are allowed to plan months in advance, in case you happen to forget. But don’t worry, if you do forget, you will receive a reminder as soon as the driver starts their route for any last-minute changes. Worst-case scenario, the bus will always go to your home if you cant update the app for any reason!
The reason we created this app is to make YOUR bus ride quicker and help YOUR school save money. Additionally, parents, you will be able to see your childs attendance record, when they arrive at school, and will approve your childs profile picture if you/they desire to have one.
BUS DRIVER’s:
As the Driver, you will receive your account from the school you drive for. If you happen to drive for multiple schools, you will have to accept their invite on the app to have your route updated. When setting up your account, PLEASE remember to input the average MPG (Miles Per Gallon) of the vehicle you are driving to the best of your knowledge!! You will also be responsible daily for letting the app know when you are driving and for which school each time. This will allow us to give you an accurate record of which homes you dont have to stop at AND for us to create the most efficient route for you! You will also tell the app whether you picked up the student or not when arriving at their location. Finally, you can send
notifications out to parents/students themselves, if the bus breaks down, or if there is any delay of any sort. Communication is key!
SCHOOL STAFF:
Your section of the app is actually a web application accessible through a computer (or mobile device/tablet if preferred). You will receive your account details & access link from your school principal.
